ABOUT MY FELT STORY

Hi, I’m Morah Sorah, a mother, educator, and the creator behind My Felt Story.
My Felt Story began in my classroom, where I started creating felt stories and peg dolls to help children learn through play.
When I introduced my first felt set, I watched something magical happen. The children were completely immersed, their eyes and ears glued to the story. I saw how engaged they were, how alive the stories become, especially when i gave them the opportunity to retell it themselves in their own words. The felt pieces became more than a teaching tool; they became a way for children to ask questions, share ideas, and really connect with what they were learning.
A set of simple felt pieces, helped bring a story to life.
Later, when I brought a set of diy hand painted feeling peg dolls into my classroom of three-year-olds, I saw a child who was feeling upset pick up a sad peg doll and hold it in his hand. The peg doll helped him feel understood and I realized in that moment, that these resources had the power to support more children.
These moments planted the seeds for My Felt Story.
Today, I create interactive felt sets and play resources that help children connect with stories, emotions, and the world around them. Whether a child is acting out a Torah story, exploring feelings with peg dolls, or creating their own imaginative world through play, the goal is always the same:
To help children feel valued, understood, and connected.
As both a mother and an educator, I believe children learn best when they are active participants. When they can touch, move, imagine, and create, learning becomes something they experience, not just something they hear.
Thank you for welcoming My Felt Story into your home, classroom, or learning space. I hope these creations bring your children the same joy, connection, and wonder that they have brought to my students and to my own children.
With love,
Morah Sorah
